About this calculator

It depends on your age, income, liabilities and dependents — not a flat rule of thumb. This calculator uses an age-bracket multiplier that shrinks as you get older, since there are fewer working years left to replace. For an exact number tailored to your full financial picture, book a free call with an advisor.
A 28-year-old and a 52-year-old earning the same salary don't need the same cover — the 28-year-old has 30+ working years of income to protect, the 52-year-old has far fewer. That's why the multiple shrinks as you age, from around 30× in your early 30s down to 5× in your late 50s and 60s.
Any life insurance you already have — employer-provided group cover, individual term plans, or endowment/ULIP death benefits. Leave it blank if you don't have any.
It's a solid starting estimate based on your income and age. Your actual ideal cover can vary based on outstanding loans, your children's education costs, and other specifics — that's exactly what the free advisor call is for.
